The most charming, the brand new Sony Vaio P
Presented and awarded this year at CES, the new Sony Vaio P caught the eye with its unique design, that ceased to surprise for quite a while now, ever since its precedents models, but it was remarked this time especially because of the fact it was smaller than all notebooks on the market.
The campaign also shows that the new Sony Vaio P can find room in the back pocket, for which reason its last name is P from “Pocket”. Regardless to the discussions concerning the campaign, taken all in all, my favorite polemic was that we are greeted by the sex-appeal of a nice butt dressed with tight jeans, as if Sony Vaio wasn’t specially conceived for the ladies.
Frankly, the last campaign beats anytime the one from Japan with the laptop which can fill in a purse having the dimensions of 24 x 12 cm and a width of 2 cm. More, these dimensions make it the smallest laptop in the world, with a weight of only 635 g. Because of its width the touch pad was replaced in the middle of the keyboard by a track pad. The keyboard has 88% the size of the traditional keyboard of Vaio TT. Also, the display has 8 inch and a resolution of 1600x768, a thing that never bothered the producers from Sony from being able to transform it - as you can see- into an advantage.
Another thing that distinguishes Sony from its competitors the notebook field (which heavily promoted low-cost 10 inch laptops, with prices around 500$) is represented by the fact that they rely on expensive fashion laptops, with prices starting from 900$ for the main configuration and 1200-1500$ for SSD versions.
Sony Vaio runs with Windows Vista and its technical performances are: an Intel Atom 1,33 Ghz processor, 2 GB RAM Memory, 60 GB HDD ( for the SSD version - 64 GB or 128 GB HDD) and has a standard lithium-polymer battery rated up to 4 hours of run time and an extended battery ( costs 129$) with an enlarged capacity rated up to 8 hours of endurance. Moreover, Vaio P includes facilities like GPS or instant-on-mode. Such a fashion laptop can be matched with a luxurious leather protective case for 89$.
