Panasonic recently unveiled its beautifully designed and packed with high-end features DMC-FX60 digital camera, a worthy addition to the Lumix line of advanced photo snappers. Lumix DMC-PF60 features a 25mm ultra-wide angle Leica DC Lens with 5x optical zoom and 12.1 megapixel to go with that. Leica DC Vario-Elmarit high-quality lens with 5x optical zoom offers F2.8 brightness, and comprises 7 elements in 6 groups, including 3 aspherical lenses with 5 aspherical surfaces. This advanced lens unit passes Leica's high standards and delivers exceptional optical performance. Most notably, Panasonic achieved the world's first incorporation of 0.3 mm super thin aspherical lens and the industry first 0.3 mm spherical lens in the DMC-FX60. This makes it possible to fit the 25-125 mm high performance lens in an astonishing slim and compact body. The 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens records almost double the viewing space at the same shooting distance compared to ordinary 35mm cameras. Moreover, in 3 mp resolution mode, the Extra Optical Zoom function provides additional magnification, extendindg the zoom power to 9.8x by using the center part of the CCD. The Enhanced Venus Engine V brings ultra light speed yet accurate AF performance for users to enjoy a freedom of shooting never possible before. Further, Panasonic also replaced its linear program processing with parallel processing to achieve an ultra-high speed star-up of 1.1 seconds. Luminance noise and chromatic noise are reduced separately in image processing: the noise is separated two-dimensionally into high and low frequency noise, and the circuits then effectively reduce only the low-frequency noise to minimize unwanted noise. Alos, the high performance engine extends battery life up to 360 shots per charge. The Intelligent Auto Mode (iA) allows the camera to adjust all its settings automatically. This is completed by other functions, like Face Recognition, MEGA OIS ( Optical Image Stabiliser) or POWER OIS, which delivers twice the shake suppresion capability of previous models. Along with the iA mode, other functions happen automatically: AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector and Intelligent Exposure, making it incredibly easy to take pictures.
