Dynamic Tower, Rotating Houses
Dynamic skyscraper towers in which each apartment spins around were conceived by the Italian architect David Fisher. After it had been projected for Dubai and Russia, it seems that these towers which rotate 360 degrees per hour are perceived as the new luxurious buildings of the future; and in Nevada and Brazil this concept has already begun to develop. Eleven apartments will be sold for $ 550,000 and the have various deals to develop in Canada, Japan, Portugal and United States.
Fisher was inspired to create the dynamic tower after visiting a friend whose apartment had a view of the Hudson River and of the East River at the same time, so he thought of a building that could have the view of the sunset and sunrise at the same time. He considers that the dynamic tower has not three, but four dimensions, because time always changes the shape of the building. Fisher’s tower was first conceived to use solar and wind energy by using photovoltaic solar cells and 79 wind turbines, but the practical vision shows that the clients will consume between 370 watts and 1 kilowatt for every hour in which it rotates.
Back to Fisher’s tower, this will be finished in 2010 and the only part of the tower built on site will be the central core, which will be strong enough to support the weight of the floors and will contain the elevators of the building, which will transport in front of the doors not only people, but also their cars.
