Nokia 6710 Navigator - the most sophisticated device in its class, possible to make you wonder whether you prefer to buy a separate GPS or just to surrender to the charm and capabilities of this mobile phone. Read this review further an you will know why.

Nokia Navigator series started two years ago with the 6110 model, continued in 2008th with Nokia 6210 and logical today Nokia 6710 Navigator appears - the best and most sophisticated device of its class. It comes in a great package - besides the common USB cable, Travel charger and Stereo Headset here you will find also 4 GB microSD memory card, car charger and the most interesting and useful for Navigation - holder to position conveniently your phone in the car and make it work like a real Navigator.

Of course it is true that this device does not have touchscreen which is very very comfortable to use while driving but the keypad of Nokia 6710 are large and comfortable and you have 2.6" QVGA screen with 16 million colors. Quite comfortable also is the line you may already have noticed under the screen - it is actually touch sensitive Zoom area for use with Maps, photos and while browsing the web just with a slide of your finger.

Like its predecessors 6710 Navigator has a special button for direct access to Nokia Maps here in their 3.0 version. They offer both 2D graphics and 3D map objects. Also you Drive & Walk licenses included with 2-years Traffic info and turn-by-turn voice navigation useful not only for drivers but for pedestrians also. There's also a digital compass, A-GPS and lots of preliminary uploaded POI - Restaurants, Hotels, Malls, Gas stations, Hospitals etc. And what's more it is possible to see and review them without using Internet access so finding the newest bar in town where your friend await you is more than easy with pressing some buttons.

Also Ovi Maps software will allow you to synchronize all the routes you have with your Home PC, to organize lists with your favorite places, to plan journeys and many more.

After all we've said here it is quite hard too review 6710 as a common mobile phone but after all... it is exactly a mobile phone. And I can assure you that as a mobile phone it works even better than as a Navigator. It runs under Symbian 9.3 and supports Quad band and HSPA. You can access Internet also through WiFi and won't miss good stuff like Bluetooth + A2DP, TV out, e-mail and 3.5 mm Nokia AV connector. As software you have preloaded Quickoffice and Adobe PDF.

You won't miss entertainment also. You have full music extras, the screen is perfect for watching video and you can spend lots of time making pictures with the 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Digital zoom: up to 4x for still and video, Autofocus, Dual LED flash and many more. Working with the camera and the device itself is very easy and this smartphone is a vary good choice if you never had a phone with Symbian before.
