RO: ZTE deploys HSPA+ network for COSMOTE Romania
The Chinese manufacturer of telecom equipment and network solutions provider ZTE Corporation has just announced it has won a network deal at COSMOTE Romania and it will build a UMTS network for the operator.
The Chinese company has reported that COSMOTE Romania will use ZTE's Software-Defined Radio (SDR) kit to upgrade its network technology from GSM/UMTS to HSPA+ and even maybe to LTE, which is 4G technology.
COSMOTE aims to deploy HSPA+ services across the major Romanian cities by the end of March 2010, so good news for all mobile internet users with need of fast connection on the go.
