GTS TELECOM extends its Data Center in Romania

GTS Telecom Romania, part of GTS Central Europe, one of the regional leading telecom operator, has completed the first phase of the DataCenter expansion project.

 

Finalizing the DataCenter extension, GTS Telecom offers to the customers a supplementary net collocation area of about 150sqm, corresponding to a number of 70 racks. Started 3 months ago, the project of DataCenter extension is part of the multi-annual strategy for the enlargement of the hosting and collocation area. All the extension area is comprised next to the existing DataCenter, and will reach a total of 216 sqm. The DataCenter is build on top of the GTS Telecom backbone in Bucharest with a 82.5 Gbit/sec bandwidth, and interconnected throughout the national infrastructure and the GTS CE fibre optic network, directly to the European interconnection points in Frankfurt and Vienna.

 

The management of the hosted applications and equipments is made directly over the Internet or from the Console Room already available in the DataCenter. GTS Central Europe is a multi-layered infrastructure-based provider of integrated telecommunications solutions for those countries of Central and Eastern Europe lying between Frankfurt and Istanbul. GTS CE’s primary countries of operation are the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania, with network extensions and local partnerships involving the neighboring countries of Ukraine, the Baltic States, Bulgaria, Russia, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Moldova and Turkey.
