BG: M-Tel supports Petar Stoychev for ninth consecutive year
The Bulgarian telecom operator M-Tel announced it will support Peter Stoychev also in 2010, or for ninth consecutive year. Mr. Stoychev is Bulgaria's most successful contestant in the swimming marathon for the last decade.
Recently, the sportsman won the swimming marathon of Santa Fe for the fifth time, which is also a record. The Bulgarian swam the 57-kilometer distance for 6 hours 57 minutes and 51 seconds and improved on the record of Diego Degano, set up in 1990.
Peter Stoychev is also a nine-time winner of FINA Open Water Swimming World Cup. It is Stoychev, who achieved the world record in swimming the Channel on August 24, 2007.
