EN: Palm is now officially part of HP
Two month ago we informed you that HP is going to buy Palm for $1,2 billions. Now the deal is officially closed and of course the digital community is excited mostly about that acquiring of Web OS from HP means one more competitor on the smartphone market. As the HP announced in the early June, they will use the Web OS to make full range of "interconnected devices, including tablets, printers, and of course, smartphones."
Now they proudly announce: "Palm is now part of the HP family. And that means bigger and better things for customers. With the power of HP behind us, the excitement created by the first Palm webOS phones will grow even stronger as we introduce a new generation of devices. At the same time, you'll still receive the same outstanding support that you've come to expect from Palm."
