Femtocell 3G – boosts mobile indoor signal
Vodafone Greece is the first company to present in the Greek market Femtocell 3G technology which is used to boost 3G mobile signal inside buildings. The mobile operator's customers can now experience improved and more reliable 3G indoor coverage, even in the most demanding spots, such as underground spaces, where communication is difficult.
Quick and easy to install, Femtocell 3G device operates with every 3G device, supports up to 16 devices (mobile phones, Vodafone Mobile Connect sticks), 4 of which can be served simultaneously, for voice calls, video calls and mobile internet. In addition, Femtocell 3G device offers Vodafone Greece subscribers access to mobile internet via HSPA technology with download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.

3G Femtocell devices use ADSL lines as a means of transmission and provide customers with high-quality voice and data coverage inside buildings. The specific devices are small, similar in size to a router, and are manufactured by Huawei. Vodafone 3G Femtocell device, Vodafone Access Gateway is available in Vodafone Greece retail stores network or via Vodafone Customer Service.
