Sony will replace the handset wiring with a single copper cable

As we thought that the clamshell design was about to fade away, for most of the new devices have that "touchscreen design", here what our colleagues at Engadget have run across. Sony has developed a "single wire interface technology" that replaces the 22 or so cables typically found inside mobile devices. So, if you ever had problems with your clamshell mobile as in power, control signals, audio, video or other connection thatused to move through the conventional data transfer technology, suffer no more.

The new technology from Sony will give a true advance for both Sony and Sony Ericsson products. The single copper wire cable will be capable of transmitting data at 940Mbps. That will give not only speed but also reliability in the new coming devices and definitely a great flexibility for the design team. So, may be designs like Sony Ericsson FH Mobile Phone are not so far in the future.
