Sony is coming up with the worlds first digital binoculars
Sony has recently announced that it is coming up with the worlds first digital binoculars that can record in the AVCHD 2.0 format.
The new models, called the Sony DEV-3 and the DEV-5 are quite ideal not only for bird watching, but also for watching sports action, since it can record in full HD video and even in 3D stereoscopic video.
The new Sony digital binoculars also come with electronic auto focus that allows them to focus cleanly on subjects even up to 2 inches away for capturing 2D images. A minimum distance of 32 inches is required for 3D recording.
The Sony DEV-5 comes with an on-board GPS receiver that automatically geo-tags photos and videos.
